Great video, Ti. The truth is that, sometimes, I find popups a little irritating , but I understand is the way to get more subscribers to your blog. It’s the way you present the popup and the design this has what gives you the success you seek. I have not implemented the popup on my blog yet, but I will, lol.

    Big Hug!!

      Thanks for your feedback, Juan.

Yeah, I agree that popups can be annoying, but I can’t deny their effectiveness. I see myself using them on my blog for a long time to come.

  • Michael Belk

TI, I personally am not fond of pop-ups, but I look at subscriber emails a little different. I have a problem with ad pop-ups because they are irritating and pushy. I like the video and you explained them well. thanks

    • tiroberts

The use of popups is certainly at the webmaster’s discretion and it would make a difference if you have alternative purpose for your list.

      To each his own. :)

Care to share with us your primary purpose for building your subscriber list?

  • Jon Rhodes

I’m not that keen on pop ups, but I have heard from very well respected bloggers that they do really work. I agree with you, it’s a good idea to make a pop up appear after a certain time, or if someone clicks on more content. That way it is likely that they have some interest in my blog before a pop up comes, and there is a decent chance they will respond favourably.

      Hi, Jon:

Welcome to the community! Thanks for sharing your input on this topic. I appreciate your insights and I hope to see more of you around. :)

  • Adrienne

Okay Ti, I HATE popups. Yes, they are SO annoying but I like the idea of not having it appear until they click through to another page. I never thought about that so that’s really kind of a good idea.

I don’t want to lose my regular readers because I know a lot of them hate those. Gosh, so do I… I swore I’ve never put them on my blog so I really find that odd that they are the highest converting opt-ins.

Thanks for this idea though and I just “may” give it a test. You know never until you try right!

Hope you’re having a splendid weekend.

      Hi Adrienne,

Awesome! I’m so glad to hear that this post sparked some ideas for you. I’d love to hear how it works out for you, if you decide to implement popups on your blog.

Thanks for dropping by; have a great weekend! :)

    Hi Ti,

Hey! Long time no hear from you. How have you been?

Okay pop up. Let me tell you, this is the highest conversion EVER on my blog. That’s a fact and fact #1.

Fact #2 – I know many bloggers hate that … even readers alike and I totally get it. It is annoying to have a pop up when you just open a page. But, I do consider it okay IF it pops up say at the end of the page or so.

Personally, I would say GO FOR POP UP but do it correctly. That is important. Doing it wrongly and you are going to lose readers.

    Thanks for sharing.

      Hi Reginald,

Great to see your comment; welcome to the community! :)

I’m glad to hear that you agree with me. Yes, popups are annoying but they’re killer for conversion.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your input. I look forward to seeing more of you around.
