[SEO Rebel Roundup!] Here’s to YOU in Our Community Spotlight (Part 2)

Happy happy Friday Dudes and Dudettes,

Welcome to another edition of our SEO Rebel Roundup!

I hope you’ve had a spectacular week; if not hopefully this’ll cheer you up and put a smile on your face :)

Quick check in

You might have noticed I’ve been quite this week. I have a good excuse, really.

Mid-terms and final essays.

Yup, I’ve been giving my time to good ol’ academics this week.

Ya’ know something… as much as I LOVE writing for my blog, I hate, I’m talkin’ despise writing academically.

It’s just something about all the choke hold like restraints, APA jargon and stupid citing I just can’t get with.

Ah, well, I’ll push through. Only 2 more weeks till the end of the semester, then on to an even more challenging semester.

Any words of encouragement you might have for me would be totally appreciated! :)

Okay, enough about me, on to YOU…

Our community spotlight

Last week, was our first community spotlight roundup and I decided to do a continued part 2 roundup.

You guy’s have been really rockin’ it! I’m so excited and proud to put the spotlight on you and take notice of your efforts.

1.) First up, we have a radical traffic case study! You know how much I love case studies and how much I recommend them to start building up a snowball of traffic.

Well, my new buddy Juan Castillo put together an awesome case study that you’ll definitely want to check out….

Case Study #1 – From 49 to 1,108 Visits in 3 Days

He shares some great beginning stats and an awesome story that had me smiling the entire time I was reading his post.

Keep up the great work, Juan; and keep taking action. We’re cheering for you! :)

2.) Next up, we have a bomb @ss (‘scuse my French) resource list for WordPress beginners.

This amazing post was put together by my blogging buddy Devesh. This is a great catch all list if you’re just getting started with WordPress.

You’ll pretty much learn all you need to know about how to make WP tick, plus enjoy some great humor in the comments :)

The WordPress Handbook – 53 Resources For First Time WordPress Users

3.) Next in line is an incredible productivity post by Bonnie Andrews.

Bonnie and I recently connected through JustRetweet when she retweeed this cool post.

Since then, she’s been an active participant in our community and has actually implemented some of the traffic strategies she’s learnt from our latest TRTT episode.

Way to take action, Bonnie! :)

Her latest article is a beast of a post about how to get crap done (something I definitely need to improve.)

This is an extremely comprehensive post and I know that you’ll benefit from reading it…

5 Steps to Double Your Productivity, Decrease Stress and Get Crap Done!

4.) Coming in next is a real cool post about the subject that me and Ana Hoffman harped on last week: making money from your blog (or rather the traffic you get to your blog).

This neat post is by Anup Kayastha. He shares his insight about the basic things you should be doing to have an inkling of a chance at making this blogging thing work for you…

7 Bad Signs That Predicts You Will Not Make Money Blogging

Also, Jane Sheeba, another blogging buddy of mine chimed in and shared her 2 cents about this subject as well.

Here’s her candid response to mine and Ana’s posts from last week:

Make Money Blogging: Insight, Reply To Ana And Ti, And My Own Income Streams

It seems as if Ana has started a chain reaction with her post, huh? :)

5.) And finally, we have a bit of humor for you:

Ana Hoffman recently published a hilarious post about Twitter bios. I was doing some serious Lol’ing as I clicked through her slide show and I’m sure you will too…

Announcement quickie

Just giving you a heads up to be watching out for a stellar post from me next week revealing some neat blogging biz model ideas that I’ve been testing and tweaking.

I’m determined to find a solid and stable way to make a passive $1k/mth from my blog by the end of the second quarter of this year.

And by golly I think I’ve found the model!

Plus, I’ve come up with an idea so sick (in a good way) that I know for sure will help me shoot my income to where I want to be (likely bypass it :) ).

I’m not going to reveal it just yet, but keep your eye on me over the next month or so. ;)

Also, be sure you’re subscribed to our ezine so you’ll be the first to know when I let the cat out of the bag.

Thanks Ti! Yay for a great Friday round-up and it’s true, I am implementing some of what I’ve picked up here and it works like a charm. Thanks again!

    • tiroberts

      Awesome, Bonnie!

I’m glad to hear that they’re working out for you; let me know if I can be of any further help.

      Have a great weekend! :)

    Hi Ti,

Great stuff here as always! I know how you feel about school…I am in the same boat. I wish writing academically was as easy as writing for my blog. I’d be much more productive. All I can say is (to borrow some material from market samurai) you have to use want power as opposed to willpower. You’re much more likely to follow through with the things you need to accomplish if you’re concentrating on the end goal – not your present task. I hope that helps…

    • tiroberts

Thanks so much, Ken; truly appreciate the encouraging words.

I can really get in my feelings about academic writing and go on a mini boycott of sorts; procrastinating and putting it off until the last minute.

I’m just getting around to kicking my butt into gear for this final essay. I’ll be elated when I’m finally done with it.

Thanks again for the kind words and dropping by.

      Have a great weekend!

A great Round up TI, I really enjoyed the best stomach exercises story. All the other bloggers are doing good jobs as well.
Thank you for bringing this to us.

    • tiroberts

Thanks, Michael; glad you enjoyed Juan’s case study. He’s really doing a great job.

Appreciate you dropping by; have a fantastic weekend!

  • Theodore Nwangene

    Hello Ti,
I’ve been a secret admirer for sometime now until now, Lol

I really like what Ana is doing at TGC, my post is among the ones she included on that her not making enough money post, i think mine was the 3rd one…….I’M BECOMING LAZY LATELY.

I also know and visits Jane’s blog too but has never visited any of the other two you mentioned, but will have to pay them a visit.

Its obvious that making money from a blog is never an easy task but ones you found your own working method, it becomes easy.

I sure agree you when you said that Traffic does not equate to money and that is the truth of which most people fail to understand.

An awesome post as always Ti, wating for the post where you talk about your new income streem model.

BTW: This disqus is really troublesome and annoying, i wonder why you prefer it to all the other commenting systems out there…. Just an observation.

    • tiroberts

      Hi, Theodore:

Really awesome to see your comment. I’ve checked out your blog as well and you share some great stuff; I’ve enjoyed what I’ve read so far.

Lol, seems like a lot of people don’t like the Disqus commenting system. I’m actually loving it as of right now. In the future I might make another switch but I’m pretty content with it for the time being.

You seem to have done great with figuring it out as you’ve left several awesome comments on my posts and I enjoy seeing them. :)

Thanks for dropping by; I look forward to connecting more with you.
